MR16 Lamp Availability within California

California has adopted the 2018 Version of California Title 20 which is in effect and impacts lamp availability within California. Halogen MR16 Lamps referenced in our cut sheet(s) are classified as State Regulated Small Diameter Directional Lamp (SDDL). The Soraa Lamp referenced in our cut sheet(s) is also classified as a State Regulated Small Diameter Directional Lamp (SDDL). SDDL Lamps manufactured on or prior to December 31, 2017 had lower lumen per watt requirements. SDDL Lamps manufactured prior to December 31, 2017 are allowed to be sold in California until last year inventory is depleted. However, SDDL Lamps manufactured on or after January 1, 2018 must meet higher lumen per watt requirements for them to be sold within California. Wendelighting believes the inventory of Halogen MR16 Lamps referenced in our cut sheet(s) that were manufactured on or prior to December 31, 2017 has been depleted from California supply. Wendelighting believes inventory for the Soraa Lamp referenced in our cut sheet(s) are manufactured on or prior to December 31, 2017 and supply is believed to be available for sale in California.

The Soraa Vivid Series MR16 LED Retrofit Lamp is no longer listed by Soraa to be compliant with California Title 20 or California Title 24 JA8-2016 Requirements.

In 2019, Ushio released their Uphoria Pro Gold MR16 LED Retrofit Lamp that is claimed by Ushio to be Certified to California Title 20 & JA8-2016-E Requirements.
